Ahhh… Money. Just what is it? Is it a convenience, a necessity, or a precusor to the unleashing of the darker side that lurks within us?
There’s the famous saying that money makes the world go round; then there are those who say that money can buy you love, and yet others who believe that money is the root of all evil. I can’t say that I agree with any of those philosophies; I am more of the view that it is the LACK of money that is the root of a lot of the evil around us. Money certainly is not a trigger for the terrorist attacks and wars fought in the name of religion that we witness with increasing frequency in the world today. But one thing is certain - we all need money, some more and some less, and if we had not a penny to our name today, it would not take long for us to either end our lives or perpetrate some evil, unethical or immoral deed in order to lay our hands on some…
How much money is enough for me? Well, I’m not quite sure. A million at least, to be sure, but 5 million would be nice. And I’m not talking in terms of rupees, or rupiah, but the good old-fashioned greenback. Or Euros, that would be better :) Hmm, or the pound sterling, that would be great.
But just how easy is it in today’s world to make a million dollars? Does it really take money to make money? How much effort would it require? How much time would we need to invest?
